The members and friends of the Panama United Methodist Church interact in a most unique type of fellowship.  We believe the Holy Spirit united us together in Jesus Christ.  Mutual care, respect and shared joy are the hallmarks of our relationships and experiences in this special union.

We hear a lot today about the increasing distance between people.  We at the Panama church don't believe this is God's plan for His people.  All aspects of our ministry, from worship to small groups, are designed to bring us closer to our Lord and closer to one another.

Tender Loving Care groups:

The Panama United Methodist Church is committed to Small Group Ministry.  The groups focus on sharing and caring for each member, learning more about God's Word, and developing members' prayer lives.  This is a way for our growing church family to stay connected with each other.  Each T.L.C. groups' lay pastor has gone through training with the pastor.  All church members and friends are invited to become a part of one of these groups.  This ministry has proven to be a valuable part of our church life.  Each group meets twice a month.  For information on days and times, contact the church office.

UMYF:

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship is open to all youth in grades 6 through 12.  Activities include fellowship, devotions, service projects, occasional outings and fun.

Kids Of the Kingdom and Kids For Christ:

These groups are for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.  They meet Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. under the leadership of Jennifer Apthorpe and Brynne Hinsdale.  Together they have fellowship and devotion time, craft time, and snacks.  Also included is music with the Junior Choir with Julie Nagel as director.  If you are interest in having your child attend K.O.K. or K.F.C., please call the church office at (716) 782-4031 for more information.
